Job summary

Dhaka Technologies Limited is seeking a highly skilled IT Architect for one of our clients in Annapolis, Maryland. This is a Hybrid Full-Time position.

Essential Functions

Architecture Design and Implementation:

  • Secure Systems: Design secure network and application systems, ensuring alignment with enterprise-level architecture principles.
  • Cloud Computing: Demonstrate advanced knowledge of cloud computing architecture (AWS, Azure, etc.) and design scalable, high-performing applications.
  • Integration Strategies: Develop and implement cloud integration plans, enterprise strategies, and lifecycle sustainability plans.

Collaboration and Strategy:

  • Business Alignment: Work with business and technical partners to define deployment strategies, including Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and continuous delivery improvements.
  • Research and Trends: Research industry trends, understand best practices, and implement informed process changes to align IT with business strategy.

Technical Expertise:

  • Systems Architecture: Deep knowledge of application, data, network, security, and business systems architecture.
  • Programming and Scripting: Familiarity with programming languages, operating systems, and scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
  • Disaster Recovery: Design secure, sustainable IT architectures and disaster recovery (DR) strategies.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, & CAPABILITIES:

Meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
    • Substitution: A Master’s degree can substitute for 1 year of experience.
  • Experience: At least 9 years of experience in enterprise-level architecture principles, including application, infrastructure, and cloud systems.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Certifications: Certifications such as CISSP, CCNA, TOGAF, CEH, CISM, GIAC, ITIL, GCIA, GCIH, or GSEC.
  • Cloud Expertise: Expert-level knowledge of cloud computing architecture (AWS, Azure, etc.).
  • Security Architecture: Strong understanding of IT security architecture and secure system design.
  • Disaster Recovery: Experience in designing disaster recovery strategies and sustainable IT architectures.

Desired Software and Services Experience:

  • Design Tools: Visio.
  • Cloud Platforms: Azure Commercial Cloud, Azure Government Cloud, Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat Linux, Red Hat Ansible, Red Hat Fuse, Red Hat 3Scale.
  • Security Tools: PrismaCloud, Palo Alto Firewalls, Palo Alto Panorama, Microsoft Sentinel.
  • Automation and Scripting: Terraform, NGINX, Bash, Python, PowerShell.
  • APIs: REST, Web, SOAP, etc.
  • Monitoring Tools: SolarWinds Orion, Datadog, SumoLogic, New Relic.
  • Development Tools: GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jira, Confluence, Rundeck.
  • Containerization: Azure Kubernetes Service, Containerized Application Platforms.
  • Data Tools: Azure Data Factory, Cerberus SFTP, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana (ELK).
  • Networking: Cisco Switches/Routers.
  • Frameworks: SDLC, Well-Architected Framework, Infrastructure as Code.
