Job summary

Dhaka Technologies Limited is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Services Engineer for one of our clients in Annapolis, Maryland. This is a Hybrid Full-Time position.

Essential Functions

Cloud Infrastructure Engineering:

  • Cloud Platforms: Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on platforms like Microsoft Azure (Commercial and Government).
  • Networking: Advanced understanding of networking concepts, including firewalls, load balancers, routing, DNS, DHCP, security, and VPNs.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues, latency, IP addressing, and routing problems using tools like ping and trace routes.

Automation and DevOps:

  • Infrastructure as Code: Implement and manage infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Red Hat Ansible, and GitHub Actions.
  • Containerization: Work with containerization platforms like Azure Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes.
  • DevSecOps: Apply DevSecOps principles to ensure secure and efficient cloud deployments.

Monitoring and Optimization:

  • Monitoring Tools: Utilize tools like Datadog, SumoLogic, New Relic, and SolarWinds Orion for system monitoring and performance optimization.
  • Security: Implement and manage security tools like PrismaCloud, Palo Alto Firewalls, and Microsoft Sentinel.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, & CAPABILITIES:

Meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 6+ years of overall experience in IT infrastructure (server, storage, and networking).
    • 4+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering.
    • Substitution: A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field can substitute for 1 year of experience.
  • Networking Expertise: Advanced understanding of networking concepts and services.
  • Troubleshooting Skills: Proven ability to troubleshoot connectivity and latency issues.

Desired Software and Services Experience:

  • Cloud Services: Azure Commercial Cloud, Azure Government Cloud, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Data Factory.
  • Networking: Cisco Switches/Routers, Palo Alto Firewalls, Palo Alto Panorama, NGINX.
  • Monitoring and Security: Datadog, SumoLogic, New Relic, Microsoft Sentinel, PrismaCloud.
  • Automation and DevOps: GitHub, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Red Hat Ansible, Rundeck.
  • Containerization: Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat Fuse, Red Hat 3Scale.
  • Other Tools: Jira, Confluence, SolarWinds Orion, Cerberus SFTP, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana (ELK).
